I wish DC would set up at least one of the new Earths as temporally distorted and currently in the midst of WW2. Or even one set in the 1970's or 80's with legacy heroes. This era is all but dead now thanks to the assassination style hit DC comics has done on those characters with it's Nu52.<br /><br />While Marvel periodically visits or mentions that time, they do so sparingly, partly because it was not Marvel but Timely back than, no the House of Ideas that Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and company built, and partly because Marvel has always been very focused on the now (as in Marvel Now). <br /><br />Since Marvel is in a constant state of updating, they look to the nostalgic past less often than the once Distinguished Competition.<br /><br />I have a number of ideas for running Supers in the Golden Age but have yet to get a chance to use them.
